Winner of the Competitor Best Women's Race 2013, this beautiful flat course runs through Alameda, California with sweeping views of the San Francisco Bay. Just steps from San Francisco, this run gives you views of the San Francisco Bay Bridge, downtown San Francisco and the Bay. This is a flat, fast and USATF certified run.
This relatively flat course starts and ends at Gas Works Park. Along the course you will travel through the unique Fremont area, over the Fremont Bridge along the Ship Canal Path and south around Lake Union. Return to Gas Works Park via the University Bridge and the lovely Wallingford Neighborhood. You'll get scenic views of Seattle waterways, floating homes, parks and quirky neighborhoods.
The start, finish and transitions areas are in the very charming Shadow Cliffs Regional Park in Pleasanton CA, about 50 miles east of San Francisco. The swim portion happens in the lake with temperatures around 70 degrees, followed by an 11.1 mile bike ride around the beautiful surrounding areas of Pleasanton, and wrapping up with a hilly 3 mile run on trails. Cross the finish line and celebrate with your friends and family.
