Provides a detailed guide to 75 hiking and running trails in the greater Boise area and Treasure Valley in Southwest Idaho. The 192-page book provides route descriptions, vertical gain charts and detailed maps for 75 routes. Trails featured include the Boise River Greenbelt, the Nampa Greenbelt and the Caldwell Greenbelt, many loops in the Ridge to Rivers trail system in the Boise Foothills, Bogus Basin and Mores Mountain loops, outings in the Owyhee Mountains, and multiple routes in the Boise National Forest near Idaho City, Garden Valley and Smith s Ferry. All of the routes are within an hour's drive of Boise. - 12 Greenbelt Trails varying in distance from 1-10 miles. - 12 Easy Mountain Trails with distances of 1-5 miles, including Camelsback Park, Bruneau Sand Dunes State Park and Jump Creek Canyon. - 21 Moderate Mountain Trails varying in distance from 5-8 miles, including the Eagle Foothills Little Gulch Loop, Park n Ski trails and Reynolds Creek. - 20 Strenuous Mountain Trails with distance ranging from 6-12 miles, including Bogus Basin Twin Peaks, Zimmer Creek and Sunset Mountain Lookout. - Seven Epic Mountain Trails varying in distance from 13-22 miles, including Stueby s Death March, Thorn Butte-Cottonwood Creek Loop and Wilson Creek Mini-Moab Loop.
