Prior to Race Day


Q. Are group discounts available?
A. We offer a 10% discount for people signing up in a group of 10 or more. Please contact events@seejanerun.com for more information.

Q. Can I get a refund?
A. Entry fees are non-refundable and entries are non-transferable. This means once you have registered, you will not receive a refund if you cannot participate, and you may not give or sell your number to anyone else. You also may not defer your entry to the next year.

Q. Can men run in the race?
A. Men may participate in the event. It is a woman focused event and expo, so the finisher prizes will be for women only.

Q. Are strollers allowed?
A. Yes. We welcome strollers for the 5K race only. We will have a 15 minute delayed start for participants with strollers.


Q. Will there be food at the event?
A. There will be bagels, coffee and fruit before the race and yogurt and nutrition bars at the finish expo. There will also be vendors selling food including Chad's Cafe and Garden Grill of Fairfax.
Q. Are MP3 players/walkmans allowed?
A. Yes.

Q. Is there race day registration?
A. No.

Q. Where is the pre-race pasta party?
A. Join friends and family at See Jane Run for some pre-race pasta and a lot of fun. We will have one of our trainers there to give you a little pep talk and pre-race info for first timers. Trainer talk begins at 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 30, 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. –5817 College Avenue Oakland

Q. Where can I pick up my race packet?
A. Racers are encouraged to pick up their race packet prior to the day of the race at the following See Jane Run locations. Race packets can also be picked up on race day. RACE CHIPS WILL BE HANDED OUT ON RACE DAY ONLY.

The packets include your bib number, cool giveaways and the official See Jane Run Moving Comfort shirt.

Q. Can a friend pick up my race bib?
A. While we strongly encourage you to pick up your own race bib/pack, we will allow someone else to pick up a bib if they sign for it. See Jane Run is not responsible for lost bibs.

Q. Is there a recommended hotel?
A. The recommended hotel is Coral Reef Inn and Suites. You can find more information under lodging section http://www.seejanerun.com/t-See-Jane-Run-Half-Marathon-and-5K-Lodging.aspx. It is a 5 – 10 minute drive depending on traffic.

Q. Is there a time you have to complete the half marathon?
A. The last 5 miles of the course is on trails, and will stay open for 4 hours to accommodate walkers, (and longer if necessary!) The early part of the course is on roads, which will re-open to the public after 3 hours.

Q. Will there be safety pins available for the race bibs?
A. Yes. They will be included in the race packet and the start of the event.

Race Day


Q. Where is the start line?
A. The start area is on Eighth St. between Central Ave. and Portola. The finish is in Crown Memorial Park just a couple of hundred yards away.

Q. Where should I place the race bib?
A. The race bib should be placed on the front of the bib.

Q. Is there public transportation to the start line?
A. Yes. The AC Transit bus line # 63 stops approx 100 yards from the start line. The # 63 connects with the Fruitvale Bart. It starts at 5:30am and runs every 30 minutes. For more information, contact AC Transit info at 650.817.1717.

Q Is there parking?
A. The following are the two main parking areas. Due to the size of the event, the spaces will fill up quickly. There is street parking available nearby. Please leave AMPLE time to park and we encourage you to carpool with other participants.

1. Lower Washington Park has approximately 60 parking spots , it’s 100 yards from the start line. The lot will be closed from 7:30 am to 9:00 am.

2. Crown Beach Parking lot @ Shoreline & Otish. It has approximately 300 spots and ½ mile from the start line. THERE IS A $5 PARKING FEE. The lot will be closed from 7:30 am to 9:00 am.

Q. How far in advance should I show up to the race?
A. You should arrive to the race no later than 7:15am. Please leave ample time for parking due the size of the event.

Q. Will there be a place to secure my belongings?
A. Yes. There will be a truck located near the check-in table where you will be able to securely place your belongings. This will be driven to the finish line where you can collect your bag. Be sure to pack warm clothes as there is a breeze off the water. We also encourage you to bring money as there will be shopping, food and services at the Expo.

Q. Where should I place the race bib?
A. The race bib should be placed on the front of the bib.

Q. Will there be food at the race?
A. Yes. There will be some light breakfast foods and beverages before/ after the race for participants.

Q. Will there be water and Gu on the course?
A. Yes. There will be water stops at mile 1 and mile 2.5, then every 2 miles throughout the course. There will be water and Gu Gel at all stops.

Q. Are there restrooms along the course?
A. There will be bathrooms at the start line and finish line and at all water stops.

Post Race Day


Q. What are the post race activities?
A. After the race, participants will celebrate with champagne and chocolate. There will be an award ceremony at 11:30 am and a Women’s focused Expo with food, apparel, one minute massages and more. Be sure to bring your money! You don’t want to miss out.

Q. Where will the results be posted?
A. The results will be posted on See Jane Run website.
